Can I Recycle This? (CIRT) is powered by ‘Gigi,’ the company’s proprietary database that gives brands, retailers and their customers on-demand, location-specific information about how and where to recycle material thus, capturing more recyclables and decreasing contamination in the recycling stream.

With the BEES mobile application, AB InBev will leverage ‘Gigi’ to deliver real-time, location-based information regarding how and where to recycle materials for its BEES users: wholesalers, distributors, and retail. Users will see an increase in materials recovery and decrease contamination in the recycling stream.
A reverse logistics model will be implemented to recover recyclables from BEES users. The pilot will utilize hyper-local advertising within the BEES Application to communicate AB InBev products’ sustainability via banner ads. The data collected will inform AB InBev environmental, social and corporate governance (“ESG”) units.
