Otterpack is an Israeli company that invented GreenOtter, the first energy-independent, portable WASH station, based on a comprehensive Reverse Osmosis technology. It can be carried by a single person as a backpack, doesn’t require a power source to operate, and can deal with ANY type of water contamination.

Ideas won’t keep. Something must be done about them.

Corporate partners

Colgate-Palmolive, Otterpack and World Wildlife Foundation will combine efforts for this pilot with 100+ Accelerator. The project will involve the deployment of GreenOtter’s portable water purification systems in conjunction with Colgate’s promotion of safe hygiene and handwashing through the Protex brand.
This project will improve the accessibility of potable water, free of contaminants, to vulnerable populations in the Peruvian Amazon region. The community involved in this project, Flor de Ucayali, is located in the Ucamara basin (Central Amazon), and has a population of 460 people. This community currently consumes water from a highly polluted river, exposing its people’s short, middle, and long term health.
